Ray Harth

President

Ray Harth founded the Sierra Consulting Group in 1994 to assist organizations in effectively analyzing their business objectives and implementing the most appropriate and cost-efficient technology solutions.  As Sierra’s President, Ray oversees customized software development, web-site development, on-site training, and general information technology consulting services for a variety of clients, including corporations and more than 60 Chicago Public Schools. With an interactive client-focused approach, Sierra implements the most appropriate and cost-efficient technology solutions and serves as a reliable resource for any other technology-related issues that may arise as the industry continues to change.

A native Chicagoan, Ray holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University in Organizational Behavior and Management and Business Economics.  Ray is active in the community and enjoys sharing his experience and the importance of education with elementary school students in Chicago Public Schools. Ray’s recreational activities include scuba diving, soccer, fishing, traveling, tennis, boating, reading, running, swimming, and water skiing.

Ernest Dean

Consultant

Ernest Dean has been a consultant with Sierra Consulting Group since 2004. As a seasoned technology professional, Ernest has extensive knowledge of software, workstation, and network troubleshooting and management. Ernest’s experience has included implementing and maintaining Microsoft Windows-based networks for public schools and privately owned businesses. He has also worked with schools in implementing iPad systems, iPod Touch devices, Nook e-readers, document cameras, and interactive white-boards such as the SMART Board and Promethean Board.

Ernest holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University in Economics. During his four year tenure at Brown, Ernest was a starting linebacker on the Bear’s football team. As a native of Miami, Ernest is a huge supporter of all Miami teams – and Florida teams in general. In his spare time, Ernest enjoys playing team recreational sports, watching football, and spending time with family whenever possible.

Ryan Lockwood

Consultant

Ryan Lockwood joined Sierra Consulting Group in March of 2012.  As a Consultant, Ryan will utilize his experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) sales, corporate technology training and social media to implement strategies that improve. Using his relationship-building skills, Ryan will work with clients to understand where they are now and help them get to where they need to be.

Ryan spent 4 years in the United States Army before going to school and earned his BA from the University of Notre Dame in 2003.  While there he worked for the University’s Athletic Website, which included anything from writing football practice reports to “ghost-blogging” for the 2000-01 Women’s National Champion basketball team.  After 3 years producing local television news in South Bend, Ryan moved back to Chicago to pursue a career in business. Since then he has worked with small and large-sized businesses to improve their recruitment ROI, expose their employment brand and pursue new ways to attract and retain top talent.

A native Chicagoan, Ryan resides in the city’s Bridgeport neighborhood. As an active member in the recreational sports community, Ryan plays soccer, 16-inch softball and is trying to cover every inch of Chicago’s miles of bike path.
